Staff
According to the owner Kenny LeGrand, its the staff at the Bittersweet that makes us unique. We hire energetic-fun loving people and teach them the rest. You'll notice a staff that works together and has fun doing it. Whether you're from the area or just visiting, our staff is looking forward to meeting, working, and having fun with you and your guests. "It's all part of the experience!" according to Kenny.
Kenny LeGrand, Owner
With over 20 years of experience, Kenny has worked in all areas of restaurant operations. Starting as a busboy in his grandparent's restaurant, Kenny worked his way up through dish washing, serving, bar tending, hosting, cooking, and head cook. At the Bittersweet Kenny personally is involved in all group bookings and private party planning. He loves to visit with customers and meet new people.
Chef Jason Culbertson
Graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary school at Brown College in St Paul MN, Chef Jason oversees all cooking operations. Known for his ability and creativity in creating spectacular food displays, Chef Jason and his staff never ceases to amaze our guests. Chef Jason personally plans and oversees all group dining special menus. He also trains all cooking staff how to work with a passion for quality food and attention to detail.
Jayme Culbertson, Dining Room Manager
As the owner's oldest daughter, Jayme started working at the Bittersweet when she was very young. Through the years, Jayme has been a dish washer, server, bar tender, and hostess. Today she manages all floor operations. Besides training and managing the floor staff, Jayme also enjoys mingling with the guests. If you catch them on the right night, you could find Jayme and her dad engaged in an ice cream drink stacking contest (usually disagreeing on who's was bigger).
